A Resilient Person.

How does one navigate returning to a productive routine after being disrupted from every possible angle?

Given the inhumanity revealed and the trials that accompanied the global pandemic such as:

  • Distribution issues

  • Unethical manufacturing

  • Opportunity for criminal activity specifically fraud and theft

  • Corrupt lending and insurance institutions causing inflation

  • Housing epidemic and market crashes

coupled with:

  • Psychological warfare

  • Actual civil and global warfare

  • Medical ineptitude

  • Food deception

and most importantly the loss of loved ones perhaps even business partners leaving everything in a state of flux; Where does that leave you and your dream business?

“A resilient business is made by a resilient person."

It is a wonder how resilient nature can be. No matter the circumstances the mind and body do it’s best to maintain a rhythm all while changing and attempting to improve. We witness that same balancing act in nature as the sky and the ground both repair after a storm or scorched earth to eventually leave no trace of damage. You must be no different. It is easy to forget ourselves when plagued with how to find solutions to problems you have never faced much less have never been experienced before. A state of unrest becomes your new comfort zone. You know you must find your way to the other side but the how is overwhelming.

When in doubt, resort to the basics. Analog is not ancient nor obsolete, analog is the reinforcement. Same way every home should be equipped with survival kits as should your business. A way to accept cash payments or even alternative payments such as bartering goods and services is not only a fail safe but a communal effort. When all else fails, your community will not. If you have not yet engaged your community for your business now is as good a time as any. Nature has a way of forcing things to do what should have been done initially. Reverting to basics is not a step back but rather a foundational rebuild. You don’t get to a place of being an established immovable business without becoming a fixture in ones community.

No matter the kind of business, it always falls under the category of customer service. Somebody has to buy what you’re selling and with ethics taking a more substantial motivator in todays society, are you a worthy investment? How do you become a worthy investment? So many questions arise and that is the tipping point for many when their focus is best prioritized on more personal matters.

Outsource. OUTsource. OUTSOURCE!

Choosing is only half the battle as knowing your options is on how to make a good choice. You always have the option and ability to outsource! Whether it be paying someone $20 to courier for you or agreeing to pay a % of sales to another business creating mutually beneficial support. Allowing the youth to intern and learn from the actions you take with your business even applying with your local institutions for the chance they can receive extra credit, class credit and or community service for assisting you. Even paying a small fee to a professional such as a consultant for advice or to perform a duty. Whatever you wish for is achievable and the how is only a conversation with another brain away.

“There is no limit besides the ones you imagine for yourself.”
